Happy Amsterdam vape guide – how to use your Vape properly
You've just received your Happy Amsterdam Vape and aren't quite sure how to start? Or something isn't right – the draw is too weak, it tastes odd, or you don't know how much to take? This guide explains everything you need to know.
What is a Happy Amsterdam Vape?
Happy Amsterdam Vapes are disposable vaporizers with pre-filled cannabinoid blends. Depending on the product, they are based on HHZ, THC, H2, H3, 10-OH-HHC or CBD – sometimes combined as a TAC blend. The vape is completely ready to use: no filling, no adjusting, no preheating. Just draw.
All models in the range – whether HHZ Vapes, THC Vapes, H3 Vapes or CBD Vapes – work on the same principle: an integrated heating element automatically vaporises the oil as you draw. There is no power button.
First steps – how to start properly
Remove the protective cap (if present) and draw on the mouthpiece – the vape activates automatically through the airflow. No button to press, no preheating required.
Start slowly with your first puff. Draw evenly and without rushing. A puff ideally lasts 2–3 seconds. Then take the mouthpiece away from your mouth, hold the vapour briefly and exhale. After that, wait at least 5–10 minutes before taking the next puff – especially with strains that have a high cannabinoid content, such as THC or 10-OH-HHC.
The right draw technique
| Type of draw | Description | Recommendation |
|---|---|---|
| MTL (Mouth to Lung) | Vapour into the mouth first, then into the lungs | Good for beginners, a gentle start |
| DTL (Direct to Lung) | Draw directly into the lungs | Stronger effect, for experienced users only |
| Short puffs (1–2 sec.) | Little vapour, lower intensity | For testing new strains |
| Long puffs (3–4 sec.) | More vapour, stronger effect | Only if you know the strain |
When does the vape take effect – and for how long?
Inhaled cannabinoids pass directly through the lungs into the bloodstream. For most people, the effect sets in within 2–10 minutes. Don't take several puffs one after another and then wait because "nothing is happening" – it will happen. Give your body time.
| Cannabinoid | Onset of effect | Duration of effect | Character |
|---|---|---|---|
| HHZ | 2–5 min. | 1–2 hours | Body-focused, relaxing |
| THC | 5–10 min. | 2–4 hours | Psychoactive, strong |
| 10-OH-HHC | 3–8 min. | 2–3 hours | Intense, euphoric |
| H2 / H3 | 2–5 min. | 1–3 hours | Balanced, uplifting |
| CBD | 5–15 min. | 1–2 hours | Relaxing, not psychoactive |
Sativa, Indica or Hybrid – what's the difference?
Sativa strains (view Sativa strains) tend to be head-focused and activating – better for daytime, when you don't want to feel too sluggish.
Indica strains (view Indica strains) feel heavy on the body and relaxing – classic for the evening or for winding down.
Hybrid strains (view Hybrid strains) lie in between and combine characteristics of both sides. You'll also find Indica Vapes as a category in its own right directly in the shop.
Temperature and storage
Cold below 10°C thickens the oil – the draw becomes weak or fails entirely. This is not a defect. Simply hold the vape in your hand for 10–15 minutes or warm it up in your trouser pocket.
Too much heat – direct sunlight, the glove compartment in summer – can liquefy the oil and lead to leaks. Room temperature, stored upright is ideal.
Common problems and solutions
| Problem | Possible cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No draw, no vapour | Too cold, air channel blocked | Warm it up, check the mouthpiece |
| Weak vapour | Almost empty or oil too cold | Warm it up, or the vape is used up |
| Burnt taste | Too many puffs in a row | Take a break, let the coil cool down |
| Oil runs into the mouthpiece | Stored too warm or lying down | Store upright, in a cooler place |
| Gurgling noises when drawing | Oil condensate in the air channel | Blow out briefly (do not inhale) |
