Indica, Sativa or Hybrid – which TAC Vape is yours?
You are browsing our strains and wondering: Indica, Sativa, Hybrid – what do they actually mean? And which one is right for you? Good question. The answer depends on what you need right now – and when you want to reach for the vape.
These three terms are not a marketing trick, they describe a genuine principle of effect. It comes down to terpenes – the natural aroma compounds found in every one of our TAC Vapes, which largely determine how a strain feels. All Happy's Amsterdam Vapes contain 5 % natural terpenes straight from the plant. No synthetic flavourings, no fillers. That makes a noticeable difference – in taste and in effect.
What Indica, Sativa and Hybrid really mean
Many people think Indica and Sativa are purely botanical categories. Historically that is true – but in practice what counts today is above all the terpene profile, i.e. which natural aroma compounds dominate in a strain. Together with the cannabinoids, these terpenes decide whether you sink deep into the sofa after vaping or move through the afternoon with a clear head.
The interplay of cannabinoids and terpenes is called the entourage effect: both groups of compounds amplify and shape one another. So a TAC Vape with 1.000 mg is not simply the same as another TAC Vape with 1.000 mg – the terpene profile is the real character of every strain.
Indica – for the moment when you finally want to let go
Indica strains are evening strains. The dominant terpene is usually myrcene – earthy, heavy, calming. It is often joined by linalool (the lavender terpene) and caryophyllene. Together they create what many describe as a body high: a relaxing feeling in the body that releases stress, loosens the muscles and clears the head.
Indica is your choice when the day is done and you deliberately want to switch off – before sleep, after sport or simply on the sofa.
Our Indica strains at a glance
Cherry Kush – Sweet, fruity, deeply relaxing. Our best-selling end-of-day vape. Cherry aroma meets Indica depth.
Purple Punch – Ripe grape notes, body-focused and pleasantly heavy. Perfect for quiet evenings.
Golden OG Kush – Earthy, pine-like, an Indica classic with no frills. For anyone who likes it down-to-earth.
Forbidden Fruit – Tropical, fruity character with relaxing depth. Fruity up front, heavy at the back.
Super Silver Haze – Spicy, earthy and complex. Indica with character – not an easy vape, but a special one.
Sativa – when you want to be present, clear and alive
Sativa stands for the opposite: a clear head instead of a heavy body. The most common terpene in Sativa strains is limonene – fresh, citrusy, mood-lifting. Complemented by terpinolene and pinene, it creates a profile that stimulates the mind without overwhelming it.
Sativa strains are known as daytime strains – they suit sport, creative moments, going out with friends. Your head stays clear, your legs feel light, your mood lifts.
Our Sativa strains at a glance
Super Lemon Haze – Our bestseller among the Sativas. Zesty citrus notes, energising, wakening. The morning vape.
Mango Safari – Juicy mango punch, uplifting and summery fresh. Puts you in a good mood, with zero effort.
Amnezia Haze – Classic Haze DNA, spicy and citrusy. For anyone who wants to know the real Amsterdam character.
Moroccan Hash – Authentically resinous, spicy, stimulating. A Sativa with depth – not a fleeting fruit vape.
Hybrid – the best of both worlds
Hybrid strains are purpose-bred crosses that are neither purely relaxing nor purely uplifting. They keep the balance – often leaning slightly to one side, but without either direction dominating. For beginners, hybrids are usually the easiest choice because they hold few surprises.

The terpenes behind the effect profile
For anyone who wants to know more precisely: here are the terpenes that occur most often in our strains and shape the effect.
Myrcene
Earthy, musky, hop-like – the most common terpene in cannabis. Myrcene has a relaxing and sedating effect, loosens the muscles and is the lead terpene of almost all Indica strains. Cherry Kush and Golden OG Kush are myrcene-dominant strains.
Limonene
Fresh, citrusy, slightly sweet – also found in lemon and orange peel. Limonene is considered mood-lifting and anxiety-relieving. It is the dominant terpene in Super Lemon Haze and carries the Sativa energy.
Linalool
Floral, slightly spicy – the signature aroma of lavender. Linalool is calming and sleep-promoting without making you sluggish. In our Indica strains it works in support of myrcene.
Caryophyllene
Peppery, spicy, woody – and the only terpene that can bind directly to CB2 receptors. Caryophyllene is present in many of our strains and strengthens the overall profile, especially in Indica and Hybrid strains.
Terpinolene
Floral, fruity, slightly resinous. Terpinolene is less widespread, but when it does appear it gives a strain a stimulating note with a bit of drive. It is found above all in Sativa-leaning strains such as Mango Safari.
Which strain suits which moment?
A simple rule of thumb: Indica in the evening, Sativa during the day, Hybrid whenever you are unsure. That is the short version – even though everyone reacts differently, of course, and personal experience always has the final word.
If you have never tried a TAC Vape, start with the Cali Exoticz. Balanced, pleasant, no surprises. Anyone looking for a relaxed end to the day should reach for Cherry Kush. And if you want a light boost in the morning or before sport, Super Lemon Haze has you covered.
All our TAC Vapes come with 1.000 mg TAC distillate, 5 % natural terpenes, are lab-tested, Made in Germany and 100 % legal. Ready to use straight away, nicotine-free, no refilling.
Frequently asked questions about Indica, Sativa & Hybrid TAC Vapes
Can I use Indica during the day?
In principle yes – but Indica strains calm the body and can make you tired. For an active day, Sativa or Hybrid are much better suited. In the evening, Indica is clearly the first choice.
Is Sativa suitable for beginners?
For some beginners Sativa can feel too clear or too stimulating. We tend to recommend beginners a hybrid such as the Cali Exoticz – it is balanced and does not overwhelm.
Can you taste the difference between Indica and Sativa?
Yes, you really can. Because every strain has a different terpene profile, an Indica vape tastes noticeably different from a Sativa vape. Cherry Kush is sweet, fruity and heavy, Super Lemon Haze is zesty citrus freshness. The terpene profile is both the taste and the effect.
What is the difference between a TAC Vape and a CBD Vape?
CBD vapes contain cannabidiol only. TAC Vapes combine several active cannabinoids (Total Active Cannabinoids) into a fuller profile – with natural terpenes that shape the experience depending on the strain. The result is broader, more balanced and more individual than a pure CBD vape.
